Illinois Marriage Protection Petition |
|
|
| |
The institution of marriage provides the foundation of all societies. The
government and the people of Illinois have a fundamental interest in protecting and preserving traditional
marriage. We have a responsibility to ask, “What is in the best interest of children?” A loving and civilized
society never intentionally creates fatherless or motherless families as a matter of law and public policy.
We invite you to take part in the Protect Marriage Illinois petition drive to put a referendum on the 2006 ballot,
calling on the General Assembly to establish marriage as it is intended by God, tradition and common sense –
between one man and one woman.
Petition deadline is April 20th so ACT NOW!

Federal Marriage Protection Act |
|
|
| |
As concerned citizens, We know that our laws need to send a positive message
to our children about marriage and family. It is only common sense that marriage is between one man and one
woman. We are deeply troubled by the effort under way to redefine marriage for our entire country. This is why
we are standing with others in signing the Alliance for Marriage’s Defender of Marriage Petition.
